Third post dedicated to the Baltic, and this time we are in beautiful St. Petersburg . Russia's second city is a succession of wonderful views over the canals, rich and beautiful palaces cathedrals.
Historically, the name of St. Petersburg is especially linked to the October Revolution that is remembered today with the cruiser Aurora moored in port. The city is huge and a bit 'difficult to visit alone for its size but also by the fact that it is still very popular, making the Cyrillic script, therefore, difficult orientation. Many are
points that are worth a visit: the first can only be Hermitage Museum, one of the most extensive and important museums in the world. Impressive list of authors displayed impressive but also the building in winter and is a part of the museum.
It's worth a boat trip on the canals and walks along Nevsky Prospect .
There are also many churches to visit: Isaac , San Nicola, the fortress of St. Peter and Paul , but what impressed us most is the church of aesthetically Savior on Spilled Blood, built on Russian style of the Middle Ages, like St. Basil in Moscow. Still
a visit to the Yusupov Palace, known for his fictional murder of Rasputin .
brings us to our magnet that is a barrel of caviar, one of the delicacies of the city. There is one pictured on the front and above the sturgeon caviar overflowing. Not bad!
